Aloha, DECA-Devotees! In this DECA Sports Blog entry we’re taking a look at one of the under-appreciated aspects of the DECA SPORTS series—the teams. If you’re anything like me, choosing a team to play as is one of the hardest decisions you’ll face while playing the game. “Does my chance for victory lie in the hands of the Mad Maidens or do the Disco Knights have what it takes?” This and questions like it plague my consciousness and distract me from playing DECA SPORTS to my fullest ability. How can one choose between awesome and equally awesome?
But never fear, loyal readers, for the DECA SPORTS Blog has the solution to your team picking woes! Here in the research labs of Hudson Entertainment we’ve devised a rigorous and scientifically tested* questionnaire which will reveal which DECA SPORTS team you’re best suited for based on your answers. Of course, it’s important to remember that strategically the choice of a team should vary depending on the sporting event being played. Unfortunately our questionnaire won’t be able to handle that; however, it will offer you a clear insight into the team with which you might feel the greatest kinship.
The questionnaire is simple to fill out. Simply go through and answer the multiple choice questions as appropriate and keep track of what your answers are. At the end of the survey there will be a results portion which will let you know what team the carefully computed logarithmic formulas created by the DECA SPORTS Blog lab** assigns to your personality. Whew, you made it through the entire set of questions without incident! Time to tally up the results. Count every A answer as 2 points, every B answer as 6 points, every C answer as 1 point, every D answer as 8 points, every E answer as 7 points, every F answer as 5 points, every G answer as 3 points, and every H answer as 4 points. Then take the total number of points and see what team you’ve been matched to!
If you scored between:
10-18: You’ve been selected to the Speed Strikers! This team is made up entirely of small DECAthletes which translates into blinding speed and agility when it comes to sports. You’ll be quick to embrace your position as a valued member of the Speed Strikers.
19-27: You’ve made it to the Mad Maidens! This all-girl squad is on the smaller side but can pack a punch when needed. Despite their namesake, there’s no reason to be mad when you’re on such a capable team.
28-36: You belong to the Boost Force! With a mix of small and large athletes this team gets the best of both worlds but nothing in between. You soon find that membership in this team can significantly boost your own achievements.
37-45: You’ve been accepted by the Average Joes! The Average Joes are just that. Average in all regards. All the members are medium sized and they don’t really stand out in any particular way. At the same time though it means they don’t really suffer from any particular weakness which makes them a force with which to be reckoned.
46-54: Congratulations on choosing the Crusaders! A well balanced team, the Crusaders have made it their mission to convert their opponents from winners to losers. Other teams will be hard-pressed to stop your march towards victory.
55-63: You’ve been deemed a Disco Knight! These fly sportsmen have rocking hairdos and skills to match. They’re well balanced on both the field and on the dance floor and you should be proud that you’ve passed their auditions.
64-72: You’ve been tapped to join Team Thunder! In contrast to the all-girl Mad
Maidens, Team Thunder is all guys. Although somewhat balanced, Team
Thunder definitely tends towards the large and powerful side of things.
They also tend towards winning as the other teams will soon find out.
73-81: You’ve found a home in the Heavy Hitters! This team is all about size,
strength, and hitting heavy. These guys are pro when it comes to power.
Stand tall as a member of this intimidating group.
Now that you know what team you’re best matched with you can save time when it comes to the team selection screen and jump straight into the DECA SPORT of your choice knowing full well you’ve picked the best option for you.
